This Saturdays Palace Party will be an album release for the new Omar Souleyman Album:”Haflat Gharbia (The Western Concerts)” New Music from his recent tours released from the Sublime Frequencies world music label.Dabke is a form of Arabic dance music,and in the case of this Syrian Dabke from Souleyman,characterized by Heavy Drum Rhythms , crazy Synthesized melodies and tones and incredible vocals,I have been playing Souleyman cuts and live remixes for a couple of years now at shows-the reaction is always powerful and I’m looking forward to this Saturdays party,Souleyman also just recorded with Bjork which caught my attention and we will be listening to this recent release as well.I am keeping it to one guest for this sat-my friend MIG from local music group “The Shizz” he is a specialist in digging up rare outsider Disco tracks and he will be bringing a set of Italo Disco (Italian) to finish out the night-
